It is becoming increasing clear that clinicians and clinical managers with a good understanding of how the NHS financial system works will be best placed to meet the challenges of the future. Indeed, understanding how financial issues will affect both you and the services you provide is increasingly a prerequisite for providing patients with the best possible service. Being an effective clinical leader means understanding all aspects of your service, with finance playing a crucial role - particularly in redesigning services to face the challenges ahead.

As part of BAMM’s ongoing Seminar Series, this event will tackle issues such as Payment by Results, the emerging NHS market, the financial role of the clinical manager, and the terminology of finance, helping you to understand and take advantage of the rapid changes occurring within the NHS financial system. In effect, it is about providing you with the resources and knowledge to make the NHS financial system work for patients.

Limited to a maximum of 15 attendees, the seminar will be not only a chance to formally learn about NHS finance, but also to discuss the key issues with other medical managers working throughout the UK. The session will be run by John Jarvis.
